It is with great sadness I announce the passing of my beloved husband, Jerry, on January 28, 2008. He was my husband, partner, and best friend and the void he leaves is tremendous. I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and encouragement, as well as phone calls, letters, cards, flowers, and donations. It is much appreciated during this extremely difficult and unexpected time.
Please bear with me as I work on updating our website.
(It has been brought to my attention that individuals with the name Fairbanks are using our website and business names. Jerry and Elaine Fairbanks own exclusive lifetime rights to thundercloudtradingpost and thundercloudturquoisegallery. Jerry, who was very protective of our reputation, refused to give anyone else (including family members) permission to use our business names. It is a shame people will capitalize on others' tragedies and grief to promote their own cause. Until this is resolved, please know the only Fairbanks' affiliated with our businesses and websites are Jerry and Elaine Fairbanks. Please call me at 218-879-1512 if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support.)
Thundercloud Turquoise Gallery and Indian Store is owned and operated by Jerry and Elaine Fairbanks. Jerry is a member of the Fond Du Lac Band of the Minnesota Chippewa (Ojibwe) Tribe. Located on the Fond Du Lac Reservation in Minnesota, we have been open since 1997. We specialize in authentic Native American products, including silver and turquoise jewelry, moccasins, leatherwork, dreamcatchers, medicine wheels, mandelas, Native American regalia including war bonnets, porky roaches, ribbon shirts, dresses, breast plates, bone chokers (all handmade), sweetgrass, sage and more. Jerry, as a silversmith, makes his own silver and turquoise (as well as other gem stones) jewelry. If we don't have it, we can probably get it. As we believe so strongly in education, a section of the store is devoted to books, videos, music and educational flyers. If you are in the area, we encourage you to drop by and visit!
Thundercloud Education Fund is a nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible.
